The HUMAN IN LOVE volunteer group visited a paprika farm in Gangwon region, South Korea to help remove snow and restore the farm which was damaged by heavy snow. The volunteer group was comprised of 43 volunteer workers from various backgrounds such as members of HUMAN IN LOVE emergency rescue corps, university students, high school students, and several elderly volunteers.
The restoration activity lasted for two days from February 19, 2014 to February 20, 2014. In order to reconstruct damaged vinyl greenhouses, the volunteer group started with the snow-removing work. The HUMAN IN LOVE emergency rescue corps worked on dismantling the greenhouse structure while other volunteers removed the vinyl and cleared the wreckage. Our volunteer activities were for a short period of time, but we hope that it brought comfort to farmers who suffered from heavy snow.
