HUMAN IN LOVE Recruited and Interviewed Youth Volunteers with Software Skills

HUMAN IN LOVE conducted interviews with youth volunteers with software skills at the catholic youth center, ‘Dari’, on December 6, 2014. Middle and high school students in Korea, interested in software engineering, were targeted for interviews.

The interviewees shared: why they applied to be a volunteer, their software experience, future career dreams, opinions regarding the youth volunteer training program, and the type of volunteers they would like to become after finishing the training.

Mr. Hakjoon KIM, Team Leader of KOSSA (Korea Open Source Software Association) participated as interviewer and said, “Software activities of the Youth Volunteers is meaningful in that it provides students hoping to aspire to the IT field, an opportunity to receive software training, and creates a venue for software related volunteering.” He shared his thoughts after interviews, “I was touched that all applicants were kind hearted and wishing to use their talents for neighbors in need.”

HUMAN IN LOVE Youth Volunteers, specializing in software, will participate in various training and experiences programmed to provide software knowledge, to then in turn be applied to teach underprivileged elementary students from low-income families, multi-cultural families, and others.
