HUMAN IN LOVE obtained Special Consultative Status from the United Nations Economical and Social Council (UN ECOSOC).

The UN ECOSOC sent an official document about its decision to grant Special Consultative Status to HUMAN IN LOVE at its Coordination and management meeting, which was held from Jul. 20 to Jul. 22.

The ECOSOC is one of the six core institutions of the UN (UN General Assembly, UN ECOSOC, UN Security Council, UN Trusteeship Council, UN Secretariat, International Court of Justice) which is established to promote global peace and international cooperation. It is in charge of various issues including economic growth, social development, education, food, welfare, humanitarianism, environment, female issues.
Therefore, the fact that HUMAN IN LOVE is granted Special Consultative Status means that it has been acknowledged by the international community as an international relief and development NGO and that it will be working with the UN from now on.

In particular, HUMAN IN LOVE will participate in the meetings of the UN ECOSOC and its affiliated organizations and suggest opinions regarding the areas covered by the ECOSOC. Therefore, it will also have an influence on activities and policy decisions of the UN.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of HUMAN IN LOVE, Mr. Kim, Young-hoo made a remark about the granting of Special Consultative Status: “We have made efforts to help victims of international disasters and our domestic and overseas neighbors in need under the name of our 300,000 members, and these efforts have been acknowledged. As an organization that is registered in the UN, HUMAN IN LOVE will work with stronger sense of responsibility to pursue sustainable development.”
