[ Meeting with residents of Bolikhan District ]
HUMAN IN LOVE is developing project plan to minimize vulnerabilities and reduce poverty in the three poorest villages (Phameuang, Sisavath, Phiengdy) in Bolikhan District, Bolikhamxay Province. The districts are constantly suffering from typhoon, floods and other natural disasters.
HUMAN IN LOVE Laos Branch conducted household survey from August 23rd to 28th on total of 132 households (Phameuang: 99 households, Sisavath: 25 households, Phiengdy: 8 households). Through these efforts, the Branch was able to identify the needs and status of households living below the poverty line.
Public officials of Bolikhan participated in the process. The Branch obtained approval from National Disaster Management Office and Bolikhamxay Provincial office. The public officials visited each household with prepared survey form and the answers were analyzed and organized into database. This information will be useful for the project plan development process.
HUMAN IN LOVE will put our utmost efforts to help the region to minimize vulnerabilities and reduce poverty by strengthening the people’s capability with long term plans.
