To make a happy Korea through sharing, the “6th Korea Sharing Festival” was held in 10 cities nationwide.

HUMAN IN LOVE, which was selected as one of the sharing organizations of the festival, operated sharing booths at Yeouido Park on Oct. 23 and 24. The theme of our booths was “school,” so HUMAN IN LOVE staff wore school uniforms at the festival.

Technologies and media are developing day by day in the current world, but a number of children and teenagers in Korea and least developed countries are still experiencing inequality of educational opportunity. During the festival, HUMAN IN LOVE delivered the reality we faced and experienced at our domestic and overseas offices. Also, we prepared sections where visitors can actually participate in sharing.

First, we introduced Korean teenagers who are suffering financially. To support them, we planned to fill the blank parts of the wings of the characters with encouraging messages.

Also, we delivered the unfortunate news of the students in Rwanda and Burundi, the least developed countries in Africa, who cannot attend school because they do not have school uniforms and supplies. We received school uniforms from the visitors with their names on as donation.

Lastly, we also received books as part of donation to deliver them to children in least developed countries in Southeast Asia who have little access to story books or who wish to learn Korean but have no textbooks.

Donators wrote their names and messages on the donated books and filled the bookshelves of the blank “Dreaming Library” banner with stickers of donated books. On the last day of the festival, the bookshelves of the banner were filled with books thanks to the eager participation of the visitors.

We took and printed a commemorative photo of all participants at the booths. HUMAN IN LOVE hopes this sharing experience will remain as a warm memory to all participants and hopes sharing can be continued into the future. Once again, HUMAN IN LOVE would like to extend our appreciation to all participants of the festival.
