Hi, my name is Maryam and I’m a HUMAN IN LOVE scholarship student living in Armenia. My hometown is located in a small mountain village near the Armenian border and I have two adorable brothers and one sister.
[ Maryam joined the internship program of Louis Foundation (Armenian education support foundation) ]
When I was selected as a HIL scholarship student, I was a sophomore majoring in education at Yerevan brusov state university. I was studying English and Italian literature while involving in various activities since I had much interest in environmental issues. My parents are making a living in the countryside, and it’s difficult to pay my tuition and bills just with their support.

The Armenian Branch of HUMAN IN LOVE has understood how passionate I was about learning and achieving my dreams and selected me as a scholarship student. Thanks to scholarship, I could pay my tuition for two years and finally graduate from school in this July. I want to be an English and environment teacher. So I asked for help from European Voluntary Service, which is a project launched to help people do voluntary work abroad, and came to Pluto, Italy. I will do voluntary work to protect the environment and teach children English and the importance of environmental protection for a year.

I was able to focus on my study and goals thanks to HUMAN IN LOVE. I feel very proud of myself because now I can contribute to my family and country. I’ll support someone else’s dreams just like HUMAN IN LOVE did to me. Thank you everyone.
