From January to February in 2017, HUMAN IN LOVE holds a training session to enhance the teaching skills of the third HIL Youth Mentoring Volunteer Group so that they can better teach Korean, English and math to children from socially vulnerable families such as low-income families and multicultural families at 25 children’s centers across Seoul.

I didn’t think it would be that new to take this training, but actually it was very helpful and exciting because I was taught the things that I’ve never known before. I want to be a teacher, so being a member of the HIL Youth Mentoring Volunteer Group is an investment to me. During a year of teaching, I hope I can help my students improve their study skills and realize their dreams.

My teacher excellently taught me how to teach math, which will help me better serve as a learning mentor. I want to be a little teacher and help students realize their dreams.

I was really happy to give a meaningful lecture to high school students who will participate in education volunteering. Especially it was very good to have some time to communicate with students who want to be a teacher. If I can, I want to have a fruitful discussion with HIL Youth Mentoring Volunteer Group members again.

After completing the training session, from March to December, the third HIL Youth Mentoring Volunteer Group will serve as a learning mentor and visit children’s’ centers near their school and teach children from socially vulnerable families. The members of HIL Youth Mentoring Volunteer Group will keep rooting, while just taking the first step for “Little Teachers”. Thank you.
