The 40th General Assembly of Hankuk University of Foreign Studies(HUFS) International Model United Nations was held at the COEX auditorium in Seoul on August 7, 2016.

The event proceeded under the agenda of the event, ‘promoting international cooperation for the peaceful use and development of nuclear energy’, in accordance with the actual rules of procedure adopted by the United Nations(UN).

Undergraduate and graduate students gave speeches on their designated languages, while another group of undergraduate and graduate students, the Interpretation Council, interpreted the speeches into six official U.N. languages – English, French, Spanish, Russian, Arabic and Chinese – on a real-time basis.

More than 1,500 visitors joined the event and the event adopted the ‘UN4MUN’ rules, which refers to the standards of mock U.N. policies that take actual procedures into consideration.
