Through HUMAN IN LOVE, the entry fee from each participants were used as donation to help the disabled living in Seodaemun-gu, Seoul. Although there weren’t a lot of participants, along with 100 disabled and 200 volunteers, it was a significant event in which the disabled and the non-disabled were able to have a meaningful bonding time.

The disabled participants are not able to go outside without assistance. One of the disabled participants said “I can only go out to take a walk, maybe once or twice every year, only when there are these kinds of events. I wish there were more of these events.”

After the walk, the participants were able to fill their empty stomachs thanks to the donations of “Bap-Cha” (Food Truck) by HOPEIEUM. After lunch, the participants left to watch exciting performances.

The performance included guitar performance by Guitarist, Ms. Kim, Ji Hee, who overcame her intellectual disability, touched the audience’s heart with her song, along with “Perfect Pitch” a band consisting of the visually impaired, who performed some exciting music, making this donation event even more exciting.

One vocalist, Mr. Lee, Min Seok, performed a song that he wrote himself- “It’s Bearable”. The lyric of this song was very memorable – although there are downfalls due to his disabilities, life goes on, and it’s bearable. It was a song that made us think back about giving up easily and being in despair whenever life is hard.

This talent donation started with the idea and passion by Ms. Yang Yu Jin, from Dream Runner, and Mr. Wu Seung Yup, Dean of Shimbongsa, at University of Shinchon. Both always had passion for helping the neglected class of people.

For this event, we had received various donations from the Korean Paralympic Committee, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Seoul Sports Association for the Disabled, HOPEIEUM, FRIENTRIP, and Korea Sports Promotion Foundation.
