A survey was jointly conducted by HUMAN IN LOVE, which runs training programs to help people lead their lives on their own, and THE BRIDGE, which works hard to promote the value of coexistence, in order to run a sustainable entrepreneurship training program that meets the needs of Rwanda’s local communities.

Rwanda is designated as the world’s least developed country by United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA) and 44.9% of its people are living under the National Poverty Line.
Rweru, a target region of HUMAN IN LOVE international development projects, has struggling agriculture, fishery and tourism industries and lacks socioeconomic infrastructures that are necessary for development. One household of Rweru has 4.86 family members on average, and the average monthly income is just 28 dollars, meaning they are living under extreme poverty.

Education is essential to break the vicious cycle of poverty. However, while 3,166 male students and 3,429 female students (from 1st to 9th grade) receive primary education for free, only 433 male and 462 female students are receiving secondary education (10th to 12th grade) which is not free, and there is no student who receives higher education.
As a part of Youth Support Program, “Entrepreneurship Training Program” is being carried out.
Through “Entrepreneurship Training Program”, which is a part of Youth Support Program, HUMAN IN LOVE is teaching youth how to identify the issues of their communities, find out a solution, study and obtain necessary resources and resolve those issues.

We are planning to provide expert-level support and advice to students who complete the course of this program by evaluating their proposals and supporting technical training so that they can continue their entrepreneurial activities.
