HUMAN IN LOVE started a scholarship program for supporting high school students in Ormoc city who could not study due to economic loss caused by Typhoon ‘HAIYAN’. This program will take place in Ormoc City, the Philippines where HUMAN IN LOVE had conducted immediate recovery assistance to the victims of typhoon ‘HAIYAN’ from November 16, 2013 to November 27, 2013. Thus, this program is very meaningful in a way that it operates a principle of “From Humanitarian Aid to Development” which connects short-term and long-term aid in disaster-affected areas.
As implementing the scholarship program, HUMAN IN LOVE expects to improve the stricken students’ capacities for achieving economic independence and contributing to local development.
HUMAN IN LOVE is currently working with the Ormoc city government in selecting scholarship students. As soon as all students are selected, scholarships will be delivered.
