HUMAN IN LOVE Enters into Memorandum of Understanding with Korean National Commission for UNESCO

On Wednesday, January 22, HUMAN IN LOVE (HIL) and Korean National Commission for UNESCO (KNCU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding. The two institutions agreed to closely cooperate in achieving UN SDG 4 that aims to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all”.

In accordance with the MoU, HUMAN IN LOVE and KNCU will jointly carry out projects to provide storybooks for children in Asian developing countries in order to enhance their literacy skills. Furthermore, the two organizations will work on other projects for international development cooperation.
As a national commission of UNESCO in Korea, KNCU has promoted international cooperation in education, science, culture, and information communication, contributing to world peace and sustainable development. Since its foundation in 1954, the commission has been working on various projects in and outside of Korea, and has been praised as the best role model by the UNESCO Headquarters and other national commissions.

Secretary-General Gwang-ho Kim said, “It is very meaningful to sign a MoU with HUMAN IN LOVE to conduct a cooperation project that is well aligned with UNESCO’s projects”. He also said “Of course, the MoU between the two institutions is meaningful, but I hope we can also build a foundation to make a sustainable world through effective cooperation”.
Secretary General Hee-guk Lee said, “It is a great honor to sign a MoU with KNCU,” He added, “This MoU gave us a great momentum to our children’s book donation project, helping us to have a good start.”
HUMAN IN LOVE will continue to conduct a book donation project for children and teenagers in developing countries, so that they can cultivate skills to read, write, learn, think and imagine. HUMAN IN LOVE members’ support would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
